The challenge

Fructal is a beverage brand with nearly 80 years behind it and a wide product range. Their website ran on WordPress and, like many WordPress sites, depended on plugins to do the heavy lifting. When one of those plugins broke, it took product visibility down with it. The products, which are the entire reason customers visit, weren’t displaying properly.

For a brand whose value lives in its products, that is close to the worst thing a site can do. Every day the catalog was broken was a day the site worked against the brand instead of for it.

And it needed to be fixed fast. This was not a “schedule it for next quarter” problem. The live site was visibly broken.

The Solution

We didn’t try to patch the old setup. We rebuilt the site from scratch on Webflow, a platform that doesn’t depend on the same fragile plugin stack. The product catalog went into the Webflow CMS, so the team can add and edit products themselves without risking another plugin failure.

While we were at it, we improved the product experience. We redesigned the UX and UI around the products, so the range (Superior, Frutek, Classic, Fruc, Frutabela) is clear, easy to browse, and looks right for an 80-year-old brand.

The whole rebuild went from start to live in about seven days. Fast, because the situation called for it.

The result

Fructal is a beverage brand with nearly 80 years behind it and a wide product range. Their website ran on WordPress and, like many WordPress sites, depended on plugins to do the heavy lifting. When one of those plugins broke, it took product visibility down with it. The products, which are the entire reason customers visit, weren’t displaying properly.

And it needed to be fixed fast. This was not a “schedule it for next quarter” problem. The live site was visibly broken.

The takeaway

When a fragile plugin breaks the most important part of a site, the fastest reliable fix is a clean rebuild on a platform that won’t break the same way. We turned a broken WordPress site into a live, better-looking Webflow build in about seven days.
