Lugtranz
International shipping platform
Scroll to explore
Lugtranz is a door-to-door luggage and parcel shipping platform for travelers. Book a pickup, get an instant flat-rate quote, and your bags are delivered to the destination, insured and tracked the whole way. We built it from the ground up; it runs on our infrastructure and is heading into production.

The challenge
Shipping someone’s luggage across the world is more than picking up a bag. You have to know who the customer is, take payment safely, hand the parcel to a carrier, and keep everyone updated from pickup to doorstep. And all of that has to sit behind a flow simple enough that a traveler books in a couple of minutes, often on their phone, in one of several languages.
There was no existing system to extend. Lugtranz started at zero no onboarding, no payments, no booking flow, no carrier connection. Every part had to be built, and built to work together.
On top of that, a luggage business can’t be locked to one carrier. Relying on a single integration is a risk: pricing, coverage, and routes change. The platform had to be ready to add carriers without tearing up the foundation each time.

The Solution
We built the whole thing. KYC onboarding so customers are verified up front and the business stays compliant. A payment system that takes money cleanly and reliably. And a booking UI/UX that turns a complicated shipment into a few clear steps quote, pick a pickup time, choose insurance, done.
For carriers, we integrated FedEx as the first network and designed the integration as a layer, not a hard-wire. Adding DHL or any future carrier is a matter of plugging into that layer, not rebuilding the platform around a new API.
It all runs on our infrastructure, so the same team that built it keeps it running and shipping improvements as Lugtranz moves into production.

The result

The takeaway
When you build from scratch, the architecture decisions matter most. Treating the carrier integration as a layer not a hard-wire means adding the next one is a feature, not a rewrite. That’s what makes Lugtranz ready to scale.
